Generating Seamless Textures

Learn how to instantly generate seamless, tileable textures for your game environments using SpriteCook's specialized Texture Mode.

How to Use Texture Mode

  1. Go to the Create page
  2. Switch the Mode toggle to Texture
  3. Select your style (Pixel Art or Detailed)
  4. Describe your material (e.g., "mossy stone wall" or "sci-fi metal floor")

The AI automatically ensures the left edge matches the right, and top matches bottom.

Detailed vs. Pixel Art Styles

Detailed Style

Seamless 2x2 Tiling

Best for high-fidelity 2D games or 3D texture maps.

Pixel Art Style

Seamless 2x2 Tiling

Perfect for retro games, platformers, and tilemaps.

Transparent Textures (Decals)

For elements that need to layer over other surfaces—like blood splatters, dirt patches, or scattered debris—use the Transparent Background toggle.

How to create decals:

  • Enable Transparent Background in settings
  • Describe the scattered element (e.g., "scattered autumn leaves")
  • The result will have transparency, ready to layer
