Setting it as your wallpaper

On Android, pick the MP4 as a video lock screen (Samsung allows up to 15 seconds) or use a video wallpaper app. iPhone wallpapers only move as Live Photos, so run the MP4 through a free Live Photo converter app first, then set it in Settings under Wallpaper. The PNG works everywhere as a still.

Made with SpriteCook

Each scene started as one prompt. The dragon, the flames, the cherry tree and the girl with her dog were animated on their own with Pixel Engine and placed back into the scene, so everything else stays perfectly still and the loops stay clean.

Frequently asked questions

Are these wallpapers really free?+
Yes. Download as many as you like and use them on your phone, tablet or computer. Please don’t resell them or share them as your own pack.
What size are they?+
Every wallpaper is 1440 by 2560 pixels, which fits most phones. They’re pixel art, so they stay sharp on any screen.
How do I use the moving version on my phone?+
On Android, many phones can set a short video as the lock screen (Samsung allows up to 15 seconds), and a video wallpaper app works on the rest. iPhone wallpapers only move as Live Photos, so turn the MP4 into one with a free Live Photo converter app, then set it in Settings under Wallpaper. If you just want a still, grab the PNG.
How long is each loop?+
About 12 seconds, and the end runs straight back into the start, so there’s no visible jump.
How were they made?+
Each scene started as a single prompt in SpriteCook. The moving parts, like the dragon, the flames and the cherry tree, were animated on their own with Pixel Engine, so the rest of the picture stays perfectly still. Rain, stars and the waterfalls were added in code on top.
